Retro and vintage birthday photo booth templates
A 1920s postcard, a 1970s Polaroid, a 50s diner or a disco ball: vintage birthday frames are a fun way to set a theme, especially for a decade party. Choose your era, add the name, age and date, and download a print-ready overlay for your photo booth.

Choose a decade
For the Roaring Twenties, 1920s Postcard recreates the front of an old card with a stamp and postmark, and Music Hall a vaudeville poster with bold lettering and ornate frames. Fifties fans can choose American Diner, with red neon, chrome and a chequered floor, or Rockabilly, with pin-ups, cherries, teal and bright red. For a 70s party, 1970s Polaroid adds a thick white frame, faded tones and a handwritten caption, and Disco Ball brings mirror facets in purple and silver.
Not tied to one era? Typewriter, Telegram and Sepia Grain work for any vintage theme, with monospaced type on lightly crumpled paper, pasted strips and capitals, or a heavy sepia film grain.
Formats and layouts
Every retro design comes as a 4×6 print in portrait or landscape and as a 2×6 photo strip, with one to three photos. The strip suits Film Frames particularly well, with its film perforations and frame numbers along the edges.
Wording with a vintage twist
Play with the theme: ‘Vintage since 1976’, ‘Est. 1986’ or a telegram-style message in capitals. Check the editor’s warnings so no sample text is left behind. Our birthday wording guide has more ideas.
